Meet the Spellweavers

Four Spellweavers. Four ways to face the dark.

Bank Ember, hold the line, echo a song or call on the dead. Meet the Ashbinder, Warden, Veilsinger and Bonecaller.

The Choose your Weaver screen with Veilsinger selected and her Dread and Echo abilities explained below
The Veilsinger’s Dread and Echo shape a very different kind of hand.

The first choice is the person holding the cards. Meet four core Spellweavers, each with a different answer to the same dangerous road.

We want choosing a Spellweaver to change how you think about a turn. The Ashbinder, Warden, Veilsinger and Bonecaller bring distinct resources and combinations to your grimoire. Here is a starting point for finding your own rhythm.

Ashbinder: tend the fire

The Ashbinder banks Ember and spends it on powerful effects. Burn keeps pressure on an enemy across turns. You are weighing the value of spending now against building toward a more decisive spell: how long can you afford to let the fire grow?

Warden: make a stand

The Warden builds around Barrier and Oaths. Barrier persists between turns, while Oaths provide effects that keep working. A patient defense becomes part of your plan for the next exchange. Knowing when to hold and when to commit gives this Spellweaver their character.

Veilsinger: find the next note

Dread wears an enemy down, and Echo repeats the next card you play that turn. The order of your hand becomes especially interesting: which effect deserves to happen twice? Small decisions about timing can give a song a very different ending.

Bonecaller: weigh the cost

The Bonecaller uses Bone Shards to strengthen cards and raise creatures. Sacrifice, recovery and hexes make health another part of the calculation. Power is available, but the cost belongs in your plan before you pay it.

These are starting identities, with room to develop as you find cards and bring companions into the deck. Choose the approach that interests you, then see what the journey makes of it. Spellweaver’s Deck arrives October 15, with pre-orders open now.
