Privacy, at a glance.
AngrySalami LLC (“AngrySalami,” “we,” “us”) operates AngrySalami’s games, apps, and the website at angrysalami.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Spellweaver’s Deck, SimpleTD, or this website, or contact us. The Echoed Oath is in development; its release-specific practices will be added before launch.
- Spellweaver’s Deck saves locally and uses Apple services for cloud saves, Game Center, and purchases. Daily records and enabled run statistics are shared through CloudKit.
- Our games do not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Support requests and attachments are retained for up to 24 months.
- Privacy questions or deletion requests: info@angrysalami.com.
Apple, FormSubmit, and other linked services have their own privacy practices. This policy describes our use of those services; their policies also apply when you interact with them.
01. Spellweaver’s Deck
Progress on your device
The game stores your profile, settings, unlocks, purchase entitlements, statistics, run history, and active run on your device. Recovery copies may also be stored locally. You do not create a separate AngrySalami account to play.
iCloud saves
When iCloud is available, your profile is backed up to your own iCloud storage. Active-run syncing is enabled by default and stores your saved run, save time, a run summary, device name, and a device identifier in your private CloudKit database to help you continue on another device.
Turn off Settings → iCloud → Carry the weaving to stop active-run syncing. Profile backup is separate from this switch and depends on your device’s iCloud settings. Private cloud saves are associated with your Apple Account and are not public Daily records.
Daily Weave records (“ghosts”)
When you complete a Daily Weave, the game attempts to publish a ghost record to the game’s public CloudKit database. It includes the Daily identifier, your Game Center display name (or “A Weaver” if unavailable), result, score, progress and health summary, and deck. Other players can view this information through Daily rival features.
Daily ghost sharing is separate from the run-statistics setting below. The current game has no dedicated Daily ghost-sharing switch. Playing modes other than Daily avoids creating new Daily ghost records.
Run statistics
Run statistics help us understand and balance the game. For completed non-practice runs, the game can send your Spellweaver class, mode, difficulty, progress, result, ending, score, turns, duration, deck, relics, companions, app version and build, and day to the public CloudKit database.
This setting is on by default. Turn off Settings → iCloud → Share how your weavings end to stop future run-statistics uploads. This does not disable Daily ghosts or erase previously uploaded records.
Public CloudKit records are accessible to us. Apple associates a creator user-record identifier with them. Although the game does not add your email or Apple Account login to those records, we do not describe them as anonymous.
Game Center
The game attempts Game Center authentication at launch. When signed in, it submits scores, achievements, and related gameplay information to Apple for leaderboards and rival features. It may read friends’ leaderboard scores and display names. Scores queued while offline may be submitted after sign-in. Manage Game Center through your device’s settings. See Apple’s Game Center privacy information.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store and in-app payments. The game reads verified purchase entitlements to unlock and restore purchases and records ownership in your profile. We do not receive payment-card details through the game.
Diagnostics and reminders
MetricKit diagnostic reports are saved locally; the game does not automatically upload these files to us. The local store keeps the newest 20 diagnostic reports and the latest aggregate metrics. Information you choose to include in a support request is handled as described below.
Reminders use local device notifications after you authorize them. You can manage them in the game and your device’s notification settings.
02. SimpleTD
SimpleTD stores gameplay progress on your device. We do not collect gameplay information through our own analytics or advertising systems in SimpleTD. The game supports Apple Game Center, including leaderboards and achievements; Apple handles those features under its own privacy practices. Manage Game Center through your device’s settings.
Contacting us about SimpleTD creates a support record as described below.
03. Upcoming games
Grimstep, The Echoed Oath, Guildmaster’s Ledger, Great Circle, Stamp & Country, Project Hearthling (working title), and Ambry: Hearth & Ledger are upcoming games. We will describe each game’s actual data practices before release. Contacting us about an upcoming game is covered by the website and support sections of this policy.
04. Website and support
Information you send
Our support form sends your reply email, optional first name, selected product, subject, message, optional device and software versions, and any attachments through FormSubmit to our support inbox. We use these to respond, investigate issues, and maintain our products. Direct emails may contain the same information.
Please send only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other highly sensitive information. Check screenshots and videos before attaching them.
Service providers and spam prevention
FormSubmit processes support submissions and retains submitted form data in its archive for 30 days; attachments are not retained in that archive. Copies delivered to our email inbox follow the retention period below. See FormSubmit’s privacy policy.
The form uses Google reCAPTCHA on the submission service to help reduce spam. reCAPTCHA may use cookies and process device and interaction information for risk analysis. See Google’s privacy policy and terms.
Embedded video
The Spellweaver’s Deck page includes a YouTube player using YouTube’s Privacy Enhanced Mode. Loading the player connects to YouTube; video playback is provided by YouTube under Google’s privacy policy.
Website requests and cookies
Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. We do not add our own advertising pixels or analytics scripts, and our fonts and game images are served with the site. We do not use browser storage to build advertising profiles. Embedded video providers and external services you visit may use their own cookies or storage.
06. Retention and deletion
Support requests
We retain support emails, form submissions delivered to our inbox, and their attachments for up to 24 months, then delete them. We may keep information longer where needed to comply with a legal obligation or resolve an active dispute. FormSubmit’s separate archive period is described above.
Game records
Local progress and recovery data remain on your device until replaced, reset, or removed. iCloud data remains subject to your Apple Account settings and the game’s save and deletion behavior. Public Daily ghosts and run statistics do not currently have an automatic expiry schedule; they may remain stored for Daily features and game analysis until removed. Contact us to request review or deletion of records we control.
What “Reset all progress” does
In Spellweaver’s Deck, resetting progress resets the profile, removes active local run files, and requests deletion of the private cloud run. A network failure may prevent cloud deletion. Resetting does not delete public Daily ghosts, run-statistics records, Game Center records, or all local diagnostics and recovery copies.
Disabling a sharing setting stops the relevant future sharing; it does not delete previously submitted records. Apple-controlled Game Center information and iCloud storage may require action through Apple’s settings or support.
07. Your choices and rights
- Disable active-run syncing with Carry the weaving in the game’s iCloud settings.
- Disable future run-statistics uploads with Share how your weavings end. This switch does not control Daily ghosts.
- Manage iCloud, Game Center, and notification permissions in your device’s settings.
- Choose whether to contact support and what information to include.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict, or object to the use of personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact info@angrysalami.com to make a request. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.
For game records, include enough information to help us identify them, such as your Game Center display name and the Daily dates involved. Do not send passwords or Apple Account credentials. We may need to verify your request and may be unable to identify a record from a display name alone. We will explain any limits that apply, including data controlled by Apple or legal retention requirements.
08. Security and children
We use reasonable measures to protect information and rely on the access controls of the providers used for cloud, payment, and support features. No system can guarantee complete security.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it. Parents and guardians should review platform privacy settings and any information children include in support messages or public display names.
09. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our products change. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice where required.
